Career

Teinert began his football career at TSV Rheinhausen and then played in the youth teams of SV 98 Schwetzingen and VfR Mannheim as well as the senior teams of VfB Leimen and TSG Hoffenheim. At TSG 1899 Hoffenheim , the striker scored 21 goals in two years in the Regionalliga Süd . In 2003 he moved to 1. FSV Mainz 05 , where he remained in the shadow of players like Michael Thurk and Benjamin Auer . Therefore, he was loaned to SpVgg Unterhaching for two years in 2005 , with his contract with the Mainz-based company being extended to 2008. In the winter break of 2006/07 he moved to FC Augsburg . For the 2007/08 season he went to regional division Wacker Burghausen . In the 2008/09 season Teinert played at VfR Aalen in the third division . After the VfR was relegated to the fourth-class Regionalliga Süd at the end of the season, his contract became ineffective. Teinert has been without a club since then.

His greatest successes were promotion to the Regionalliga in 2001 with TSG Hoffenheim and promotion to the Bundesliga in 2004 with 1. FSV Mainz 05. He scored one goal in ten Bundesliga games and 13 goals in 79 games in the 2. Bundesliga .
