Chrome green

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Under chrome green is meant pigments which according to DIN 55943 mixtures of iron -Blaupigmenten ( Prussian blue , and Turnbull's blue , Prussian blue or Milori blue ) with the toxic chrome yellow ( lead (II) chromate , also Cologne yellow or Paris yellow ) represent and may not contain any fillers or other colorants. They are used in paints and printing inks . Due to the high toxicity of lead chromate, however, chrome green is rarely used today.

Likelihood of confusion

Chromium oxide green is the common name for the non-toxic pigment chromium (III) oxide Cr 2 O 3 as well as several color tones based on it, but not identical, for example Cologne Bridge Green or RAL 6020 .
