Chunhyang is a Korean female name that plays the leading role in the pansori piece Chunyangga and the novel Chunhyang jeon based on it in the 18th century. The most famous film adaptation is The Song of the Faithful Chunhyang (2000) by Im Kwon-taek . Colloquially they are called Chunhyangi [cʰunhjaŋi] .
