Cinte Tesino (German outdated: Zinten ) is a Trentino municipality in the Trentino-South Tyrol region with 438 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

geography

The village is located 39 km east of Trento in Tesino ( Bassa Valsugana Tesino e ), a Untertal the Valsugana . It is part of the valley community Comunità Valsugana e Tesino and is located on the Gringno River and at the foot of Monte Mezza.

The place has no other districts.

Neighboring municipalities are Canal San Bovo , Castello Tesino , Grigno , Lamon ( BL ), Pieve Tesino and Scurelle .

history

Due to the proximity to the Roman road Via Claudia Augusta, they were built around 50 BC. Settlements and castles in the area. Here the place belonged to the Regio X Venetia et Histria (10th Region Veneto and Istria ) of the Regioni dell'Italia Augustea . Since 750 the place was under the Bishop of Feltre . In 1810 the place lost its independence and became part of Castello Tesino, which however only remained valid until 1818 and the place became independent again. The place belonged to Pieve Tesino from 1928, but from 1935 with its own administration. In 1947 the place was separated from Pieve again and has been an independent municipality ever since.

Attractions

• Chiesa di San Lorenzo Martire , church dedicated to the local patron, built in the 15th century and restored in 1876 after a fire. The last restoration took place in the 1950s.
• Arboreto del Tesino , plant park opened in 2002 in the Colle Danè on the Rio Solcena river .
