Extraction
Citrus fibers are made from juiced , de-oiled and dried citrus fruits. The raw substance is cleaned and ground to a certain particle size, the particle size ranging from powder to granules .

Citrus fibers have the respective specific aroma of the fruit they are made of, due to secondary plant ingredients and the fructose they still contain . It is a fiber concentrate with a very high fiber content of approx. 90%, of which approx. 15% are soluble. Citrus fibers are able to bind up to 17 times the amount of water and keep it stable.
use
Citrus fibers are used in the food industry as a filler and binding agent , as well as in beverages and food as a fiber additive . They can be used as a substitute for animal binders in vegan and vegetarian products. In addition, citrus fibers are sold as a dietary supplement in health food stores.
