City National Tower is the name of a 213 meter high skyscraper in the central business district of Los Angeles . The building was called the Bank of America Tower until 2004 when it was renamed the City National Tower . It was created according to plans by the architect Albert C. Martin. The main user of the office building is currently the City National Bank itself.

The 52- story skyscraper, completed in 1972, is one of the tallest skyscrapers in Los Angeles. Together with the Paul Hastings Tower , the black twin towers of the City National Plaza , which was called ARCO Plaza until 2005 , were the first large business center in downtown Los Angeles. It dominated the city skyline for more than 30 years. Flanked by Bunker Hill to the north and the Figueroa Financial Corridor to the south, it is the hub of the Central Business District.
