Clara Bosscaglia was a professional teacher of Latin and Greek. After the government reshuffle in 1976, she became Minister of the Interior and Justice (Segretario di Stato per l'Affari Interni e Giustizia) . After the 1978 elections, the PCDS went into opposition. In 1986 the PDCS and the Communists ( PCS ) jointly formed the government. Boscaglia became Minister of Finance (Segretario di Stato per le Finanze, Bilancio e Programmauione, Informazione e Rapporti con l'AASFN) .
