Clark Spencer

Clark Spencer (born April 6, 1963 in Seattle , Washington ) is an American film producer who received an Oscar at the 2017 Academy Awards .

Career

Clark Spencer was born in Seattle, Washington in 1963 and grew up there. He studied at Harvard University in Massachusetts, which he left in 1985 with a degree in history. He then attended Harvard Business School until 1990. Spencer has been employed by Walt Disney since 1993 , previously he worked for Miramax , which was taken over by the sale to The Walt Disney Company.

His first involvement as a film producer was in the 2003 Oscar-nominated animated film Lilo & Stitch from 2002. This was followed by other engagements with Meet the Robinsons (2007) and Bolt - A Dog for All Cases (2008). The latter received a nomination for best animated feature film in 2009 , but the award went to WALL · E - The last one cleans up the earth .

After several short films he produced in 2011 a film about Winnie the Pooh titled Winnie the Pooh . Spencer received a PGA Award for his participation in the animated film Ralph Enough .

He was the studio manager for the two Disney productions Frozen - Totally Unabashed (2013) and Baymax - Giant Robowabohu (2014). Both films won an Oscar.

At the 2017 Academy Awards, when he was first nominated, he and Byron Howard and Rich Moore won an Oscar in the category of best animated film for zoomania . For this work, too, he received a PGA award.
