Claudia Pinl (born 1941 ) is a German political scientist and journalist. She works as a publicist and author in Cologne. In her books she deals with the working world of women, the gender issue and critically with voluntary work in neoliberal economic systems.

Professional background

Claudia Pinl is the daughter of the mathematician Maximilian Pinl . She studied political science in the USA and at the Free University of Berlin with a degree in political science . Since 1968 she worked as an editor for the trade union monthly books of the German trade union federation . Afterwards she worked for the WDR radio , correspondent for the taz in Bonn and from 1986 to 1990 advisor for the parliamentary group of the Greens in the field of women's politics. Today she works as a book author, journalist and lecturer. In addition, she is active in local politics as a parliamentary group leader in the Cologne-Lindenthal district council for Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen.

In 1972 Claudia Pinl received the German Journalist Prize together with Birgit Ziemann-Berg.
