Claudia von Lanken

Claudia von Lanken (born June 3, 1977 in Schleswig ) is a German soccer coach and former soccer player . Most recently she coached the Bundesliga women's team of 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig until October 2011 .

Career

Von Lanken was a goalkeeper . Her career began at SV Olympia Rheide. She came to Schmalfelder SV through SSV Klein Bennebek and later to FFC Heike Rheine . In 1995 she won the Nordic Cup with the U-21 national team . She played her first international match for the senior national team on April 24, 1997 in Lübeck against Spain . In the summer of the same year she became European champion with the national team , but was not used in the tournament. Her third and last international match she played on March 8, 1998 in London against England .

In 1999 she moved to Hamburger SV. In her first season at HSV-Tor, she was champion of the Regionalliga Nord . During the season, the team won all games, but failed in the promotion round. A year later, the team was again undefeated champions, but managed to rise. After the immediate descent, the prompt return followed. On October 19, 2003, she converted a penalty in the Bundesliga match against 1. FC Saarbrücken . In December 2004 she had another knee operation. After the 2004/05 season, she ended her active career in the summer due to various injuries.

She took over the coaching position of the second team at HSV and immediately led them back to the 2nd Bundesliga . As a promoted team, the team finished second in the 2006/07 season , making it the best promoted team of all time.

For the 2011/12 season, von Lanken moved as the 2nd Bundesliga master coach to runner-up 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig , as he was promoted to the Bundesliga in contrast to HSV's 2nd team. After five game days of the 2011/12 Bundesliga season and only three points, von Lanken was dismissed in early October.

In 2012 she became the coach of the second team at FSV Gütersloh in 2009 . In 2013 she moved to SC Sand as an assistant coach . In February 2017, after Colin Bell's departure to Ireland, von Lanken took over SC Sand as head coach on an interim basis.

Claudia von Lanken is a trained educator .
