Commissario Laurenti is a television series produced by ARD and broadcast for the first time from 2006 to 2009. The scripts are based on the crime novels by Veit Heinichen . The Proteo Laurenti, played by Henry Hübchen , is Vice Questore of the Trieste Criminal Police and investigates murder cases, some of which lead him into the area of organized crime.
In March 2009, the ARD decided not to continue the series due to poor audience ratings. In addition, Barbara Rudnik , who played Laura Laurenti, the commissioner's wife, lost her battle with cancer on May 23, 2009.
