The Conservatorio Giacomo Puccini is a conservatory based in the Villa Marmori in La Spezia . It emerged in 1979 from the Conservatorio Niccolò Paganini in Genoa and became independent in 1992. It is named after the composer Giacomo Puccini .

The conservatory is divided into seven departments:

  • Musical theater
  • Music didactics
  • Bow and string instruments
  • Wind instruments
  • New technologies, composition, jazz
  • Keyboards and percussion
  • Analysis and Management Theory

The library of the institute has more than 5000 media, including orchestral and opera scores.

Partnerships exist u. a. with the City of Bayreuth and the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein in Düsseldorf.
