Corinne Marrinan

Corinne Marrinan (born September 2, 1974 in New York , New York ) is an American television and film producer . In 2006 she won an Oscar for the documentary A Note of Triumph: The Golden Age of Norman Corwin .

Life

Marrinan began working as a production assistant on American Intellectuals and The Big Kahuna in 1999, starring Kevin Spacey . She co-produced the documentary On Tiptoe: The Music of Ladysmith Black Mambazo , which was nominated for an Oscar in 2001 in the category of Best Documentary Short . She herself received an Emmys nomination for this in 2002 .

In 2003 she got involved as a producer on the successful crime series CSI: On the trail of the perpetrators and shortly afterwards also on the offshoots CSI: Miami and CSI: NY . By 2008, Marrinan produced more than 150 episodes for the three series. She also wrote the script for some episodes.

For the 39-minute documentary A Note of Triumph: The Golden Age of Norman Corwin about the journalist Norman Corwin , which she produced together with director Eric Simonson , the two won an Oscar in the category Best Documentary Short Film at the 2006 Academy Awards .
