Costantino Affer (* 1906 ; † 1987 ) was an Italian medalist .

Life

He is from Milan , Italy and was born there in 1906 . He received his artistic training at the Scuola di Brera in Milan, today Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera at university level. He studied engraving and sculpture with a focus on medal art. Costantino Affer remained loyal to Milan and died there in 1987.

Act

In 1940 Costantino Affer began exhibiting his work and has since participated in national Italian competitions. Since 1953 he has been represented at all important international trade fairs for medal art. For many years he was the artistic director of the Milanese company, the Lorioli brothers, and was responsible for the production of sculptures on public buildings in Milan, on sports facilities and for private clients. He designed the official medals for the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d 'Ampezzo in South Tyrol. His diverse works of art can be found in numerous museums and private collections.
