Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India

Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India (CBCNEI) is a Baptist church in India . It was founded in 1950 . The Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India does not belong to the World Baptist Federation or the World Council of Churches . However, he belongs to the National Council of Churches in India . He is also a member of the Asia Pacific Baptist Federation . Its headquarters are in Guwahati in Assam . The Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India has approximately 600,000 individual members. Its members are Arunachal Baptist Church Council , Assam Baptist Convention , Garo Baptist Convention , Karbi Anglong Baptist Convention , Manipur Baptist Convention, and Nagaland Baptist Church Council . The largest of these are the Nagaland Baptist Church Council and Manipur Baptist Convention. The CBCNEI has several 1000 churches. Another major Baptist church in India is the Samavesam of Telugu Baptist Churches .
