On January 29, 2018, the US Treasury Department released the CAATSA Report , a list of 210 Russian people who would be eligible for future sanctions, including all senior members of the Russian government and owners of large Russian companies.

In April and June 2018, the US Treasury Department published new sanctions based on CAATSA against a total of 29 Russian people and 17 Russian companies.

With reference to CAATSA, the construction of the Nord Stream natural gas pipeline has been delayed.
