The Crêt Pela is 1495 m one of the highest peaks of the Jura . The mountain is located in the Forêt du Massacre between the villages of Lajoux in the west, Lamoura in the north and Prémanon in the east; in the south lies the upper reaches of the Valserine . The summit is completely forested, an overview of the landscape around is severely restricted.
It is also the highest peak in the Franche Comte region.
