Dagens Næringsliv ( DN ) is a national Norwegian daily newspaper . It is Norway's leading financial and business newspaper with an average daily circulation of 80,559 copies in 2010 (642,000 readers per week in 2004). Amund Djuve has been editor-in-chief since 2000 .
About the newspaper
The newspaper was founded in 1889 as Norges Sjøfartstidende by Captain Magnus Andersen, as a newspaper for the shipping industry . From 1912 to 1987 it was known as Norges Handels og Sjøfartstidende (informally: Sjøfarten , the shipping). Dagens Næringsliv is published today by the media conglomerate Norges Handels og Sjøfartstidende . At times the newspaper is still called Sjøfarten today.
The newspaper is politically economically liberal and supports the conservative Høyre party . In terms of content, it can be compared with the Financial Times . It is published in Oslo and has local editorial offices in the cities of Kristiansand , Stavanger , Trondheim and Tromsø as well as several correspondents at home and abroad.
D2
D2 is a lifestyle magazine and appears every Friday as a supplement to Dagens Næringsliv. It covers a wide range of topics such as art, fashion, design, fitness, travel, cars, technology and food. It is read by around 202,000 readers. The D2 has won national and international prizes for its design and recordings.
