Damon Wild

Damon Wild (* 1967 ) is an American musician , producer and DJ from the techno and acid techno sectors. He is the founder of the Synewave label .

Life

Damon Wild is from New Orleans and was already a DJ when he was 15. Around 1990 he came to New York City , where he began his musical career.

In 1991 he and his then roommate Ray Love achieved a top 10 hit in Great Britain under the project name Toxic Two with the Track Rave Generator . Together with Love he has other titles in 1991/92 under the project names Acid Masters , Peace of Mind and Gangsters of Love . From 1992 he headed the Experimental Records label , on which he published over 30 releases by Tim Taylor, Freddy Fresh , DJ ESP and others until 1995 . Freddy Fresh's track Sinewave (Experimental Records 011, 1993), released under the pseudonym Modulator , gave the impetus to found Damon Wild's own label Synewave in 1994, which continues to the present day. On Synewave, Damon Wild has continued to publish tracks by Tim Taylor, Freddy Fresh, DJ ESP and others in addition to his own projects. His well-known releases include the track Bang the Acid , recorded with Tim Taylor , which was released in several new editions and remixes. Together with Taylor, he also appeared under the project name Aurabora , and he was also repeatedly involved in publications of Taylor's Pump Panel project . Further collaborations were Morgan Wild (with Dan Morgan, several publications 1992 to 1994), Morph (with Dennis Ferrer , 1994), Voyager 8 (with Steve Stoll , several publications 1995 to 1998) and Blue Maxx (with Mederic Nebinger , various publications in 1996 until 1998). From 2002 to 2005, Wild also released various joint recordings with Echoplex ( Peter Sliwinski ). Damon Wild has produced about 90 releases and about 50 releases under his own name since the beginning of his career. Among his own publications, the series entitled Subtractive Synthesis stands out, in which eight publications appeared on Synewave from 1994 to 2006 . In addition to being a producer and musician, Damon Wild also appears as a DJ.
