Little Laura from Londonderry in Northern Ireland surprises her father Lexie with the fact that she wants to learn the Irish folklore dance Riverdance. Lexie doesn't want to allow her that, because the dance comes from Ireland, which is wrong for him. But over time he becomes infected by Laura's enthusiasm. He bought her an instructional video and a costume. She takes part in a competition. Lexie sits in the audience and applauds enthusiastically at her performance. In the end, the two of them go for a walk on the beach, where Laura teaches her father a few steps.
