Menichella replaced the founder Ingmar Hoerr as CEO of CureVac in 2018 . He was replaced by Hoerr on March 11, 2020. As a result, numerous media reported the content of a meeting between Menichella and Donald Trump about the development of a vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 .
