Daniel Thomas Murphy (* 1. April 1985 in Jacksonville , Florida ) is an American baseball player in Major League Baseball . Murphy's regular position is that of second baseman , but he is also used as first baseman and outfielder . He has been playing for the Washington Nationals in the Eastern Division of the National League since the 2016 season . Murphy was previously with the New York Mets for eight years . At the.
