Daniel Nocke (* 1968 in Hamburg , Germany ) is a German screenwriter and director of several short films .

Life

Nocke studied screenwriting and animation at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy from 1994 to 1999 . His first work included short animated films such as Der Peitschenmeister , which was awarded the Adolf Grimme Prize in 1999 in the field of fiction / entertainment , and The Comforter Crisis . The latter received the international sponsorship award at the Stuttgart Animated Film Festival in 2000 . After he got to know Stefan Krohmer , he worked with him on his graduation film Barracuda Dancing , which received the Young Talent Award of the German Television Prize. For this, Nocke wrote the script and Krohmer directed. In 2001, the two worked again for the television film at the end of the season , for which they were again honored with the Adolf Grimme Prize. Since then, Nocke has written the script for all of Krohmer's films, including his film debut Sie haben Knut (2003). For this he received the German film critic's award for the best screenplay. In 2009 the Golden Gong for the docudrama Dutschke followed (together with Stefan Krohmer). In 2016 he won the Rüsselsheim Film Festival with his short film Who bears the costs? 2nd place.
