Daniel Sdunek (born January 22, 1980 in Essen , Germany ) is a German handball goalkeeper . His height is 1.88 m.

Sdunek was trained as a handball player at Bundesliga club TUSEM Essen and played there in the 1st and 2nd team. In the 2002/03 season he played with Essen in the EHF Cup . At the age of 23, Sdunek moved to the second division HSG Düsseldorf in 2003 , with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga in the 2003/04 season . For the 2006/07 season , Sdunek moved to the second division TV 08 Willstätt-Ortenau . In the 2008/09 season he was in goal for the second division team HR Ortenau , which had emerged from TV 08 Willstätt-Ortenau and was dissolved after the end of the season due to bankruptcy.

In the summer of 2009, Sdunek moved to the then second division TV Bittenfeld . In 2011 he qualified with the TVB for the newly founded single-track 2nd handball Bundesliga . At the end of the 2014/15 season he was promoted to the Bundesliga with the TVB.

Sdunek left TV Bittenfeld in the summer of 2015 and moved to third division TGS Pforzheim . In summer 2017, Sdunek returned to TV Bittenfeld to strengthen the 2nd team in the Württembergliga Nord. Due to an injury to Johannes Bitter , the regular goalkeeper of the club's 1st team, which started under the name TVB 1898 Stuttgart , Sdunek returned to the TVB's first division squad in November 2017. On December 10, 2017, he played his first Bundesliga game for the TVB in the home game against SC DHfK Leipzig Handball .

After graduating from high school, Sdunek began studying business administration , which he broke off again. He completed an internship in the event / marketing department at a sports agency in Düsseldorf . He then completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk . He works in marketing at Kärcher , the main sponsor of TVB 1898 Stuttgart.

Sdunek is married and has two children.
