Darja Stocker

Darja Stocker (* 1983 in Zurich ) is a German-speaking playwright .

At the age of eleven she was writing a novel. He has been writing prose and theater texts since 1998. Her first play Koma was premiered at the Theater an der Sihl, where she also sat as an intern. In 2002 she took part in the Festival of Young Dramatists Interplay in Pécs , Hungary . From 2003 to 2004 she worked as an assistant director at the theater and took part in the dramatists' meeting at the Wolfenbüttel Federal Academy .

In 2003 and 2004, the play Nachtblind , which premiered there on March 18, 2006, was created in the Dramenprozessor writing workshop at the Zurich Theater on the Winkelwiese . For this piece, Darja Stocker received the first prize at the Heidelberger Stückemarkt in May 2005 and was a finalist at the 1st St. Gallen Author Days . In April 2006, the German premiere took place at schauspielhannover and other productions followed (including at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg). The piece was produced and broadcast as a radio play by the Swiss Radio DRS in 2006 and has been on the market as an audio book since 2006 .

In 2006 she began studying "scenic writing" at the University of the Arts in Berlin . In 2009 her play Zornig Born premiered, directed by Armin Petras .

Together with Claudia Grehn she produced in Weimar and Leipzig in 2011 Isn't it enough to say I want to live ; the play was invited to the Mülheim Theater Days in 2012 .

Darja Stocker lives in Berlin.
