Daron Yates

Daron Yates (* 1987 in Munich ) is a German actor .

Life

Daron Yates was born in Munich-Schwabing . His father is from New Zealand , his mother is of German- Armenian origin. Yates has been playing soccer since he was 7 and took part in school performances from an early age. After graduating from high school and the abgeleistetem community service he went for a total of one year initially to Australia , where he half a year in Sydney lived and took a job in a nightclub, and then to New Zealand where he lived with the father's family and traveled the country.

Despite the offer of a contract from a New Zealand soccer club, Yates returned to Germany, first took a few months of private acting lessons in Munich and then completed his acting studies at the Bavarian Theater Academy from 2010 to 2014 . During his training he was already involved in various pieces, including a. at the Metropoltheater Munich and in productions of the Akademietheater in the Prinzregententheater .

After completing his training, he had his first theater engagements at the Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg (from the 2014/15 season), at the Théâtre National du Luxembourg (from the 2015/16 season), and at the Residenztheater in Munich (2015-2016). In the 2017/18 season he made a guest appearance at the Schauspiel Köln in the production "HOOL" . From May to September 2018, as the successor to Max Hemmersdorfer , he played the criminal assistant teacher Zeki Müller in the musical adaptation Fack ju Göhte - Das Musical in Munich's Werk7 .

Yates can also be seen as a freelance actor in various film, television and cinema productions. He had episode roles in several TV series, initially u. a. in Munich 7 (2015), SOKO Kitzbühel (2015), and SOKO Munich (2017). In the sixth season of the crime series Hubert und Staller (2017), he played alongside Sophie Rogall the alternative-inspired tenant of an apartment building.

Daron Yates, who has German citizenship as well as New Zealand citizenship, lives in Munich.
