David Nash (born July 15, 1939 in Monmouth , Monmouthshire - † October 30, 2016 ) was a Welsh rugby union player and coach.

Nash played six times for Wales as number eight . He made his debut against South Africa in 1960 and played his last game against France in 1962 . In 1962 he was also part of the British Lions' squad on their tour of southern Africa. It was not used in the tests against South Africa and British East Africa. He only played against the Leopards , the Currie Cup team North Transvaals and the selection of Rhodesia .

In 1967, Nash became the first full-time coach for the Welsh national team. In the five games under him, the selection won only one game. The Welsh Federation decided not to let him travel to New Zealand with the team . He then resigned and was replaced by Clive Rowlands .
