David Yallop

David Anthony Yallop (born January 27, 1937 in London ; † August 31, 2018 there ) was a British author and screenwriter .

Life

Yallop has worked as a writer and screenwriter since 1968, a . a. for Monty Python .

He has published several investigative books on real or supposed criminal cases. For example, Yallop dealt with the cases of the Yorkshire Ripper and the British Derek Bentley , who was executed in 1953 for a murder he did not commit. Yallop achieved international fame with the book In the Name of God? In which he theories about the death of Pope John Paul I set up. For example, Yallop claimed that the Pope was poisoned in 1978 because he wanted to expose and eliminate corrupt machinations of the Vatican Bank in connection with the affair of the Masonic Lodge Propaganda Due (P2).

Some of the scripts were also penned by David Yallop. From 1975 to 1976 he wrote screenplays for the television series Crown Court , 1980 the screenplay for the New Zealand television film Without any doubt , 1990 for the feature film Chicago Joe and the Showgirl and from 1984 to 1993 screenplays for the television series Minder .
