Dennis Haberlach (born September 8, 1981 in Northeim ) is a German pop singer. He became known in early 2007 through his participation in the fourth season of the casting show Deutschland sucht den Superstar , which was broadcast on the evening program of the RTL television station from January to May 2007 .

Live and act

Haberlach initially trained as a media designer, changed the company during his training and then worked as a warehouse worker for a logistics company. His musical career began in 2001 when he joined the boy band Yunion. After the band broke up, he started his solo career under the name Denninjo. He was voted Newcomer of the Year in 2004 by the readers of the youth magazine Bravo .

In the summer of 2006 he took part in the castings for Deutschland sucht den Superstar and after several qualifying rounds he made it to the last twenty. In the first Top 20 show he made it with his version of the Ronan Keating hit When You Say Nothing at All in the telephone voting with 12.8% of all audience votes at number 3 out of 9. In the second show he sang Every Breath You Take from The Police and only made it 6th out of 8 with 8.6% and had to leave the show. Immediately after his performances, the music producer David Brandes signed him and recorded the ballad Not Forever with him and the Swedish singer Stina .
