Reviews

Andy Seiler wrote in USA Today that operating a lawnmower is “more drawn in” than this sequel, which manages to be “complicated” and “thoughtless” at the same time.

The lexicon of international films wrote that the film was "predictable" and based on an "old-fashioned dramaturgy". The plot is "confused" and "contourless". The technology is "demonized" in the film "as an instrument of all-encompassing control".

Awards

Farhad Mann was nominated in 1996 for the Best Film Writer for the Fantasporto Festival's International Fantasy Film Award .

background

  • The film is a sequel to the 1992 film The Lawnmower Man . It grossed approximately 2.4 million US dollars in US cinemas .
  • Since Jeff Fahey was no longer available for the role of the lawnmower man Jobe, Matt Frewer was chosen without further ado , who had previously become known through other various roles in Stephen King films. Frewer has no external similarities with Fahey. Therefore, its appearance was modeled on that of the computer-animated lawnmower man at the end of the original.
