German Society for Immunogenetics

The German Society for Immunogenetics (DGI) is a medical-scientific specialist society under German law in German-speaking countries for the promotion of research, teaching and patient care in the subject of histocompatibility and immunogenetics in the field of transplant medicine . It was founded in 1993 on the initiative of a previously informal German working group for histocompatibility testing.

The DGI has over 250 members, mostly from German-speaking countries. In addition to an annual congress, there are numerous other funding opportunities for basic, advanced and advanced training in the field of histocompatibility and immunogenetics.

The association is a member of the Working Group of Scientific Medical Societies . The association is based in Essen .
