The German Skin and Allergy Aid e. V. has existed as a registered non-profit association since 1984. In order to finance its ongoing business operations, Deutsche Haut- und Allergiehilfe e. V. does not use public funds. It finances its work through donations and membership fees from 2,100 natural persons.
Goals and Activities
The aim of the association's work is to give patients with allergies and skin diseases a better understanding of their disease, its background and treatment options. The association would like to contribute to making everyday life easier with an allergy or skin disease and to improving the medical care situation for patients.
The implementation of these goals takes place through

- Extensive information material on skin diseases and allergies
- Current information on the latest scientific and research findings
- Representing the interests of patients in health policy issues
- Regular and detailed information from the magazine "Haut & Allergie aktuell"
- Orientation aids for consumers by awarding seals of approval for allergy-friendly and skin-friendly products
- Internet presence
The German Skin and Allergy Aid e. V. is active nationwide u. a. on the following topics:
- Prevention, care and treatment of chronic hand eczema
- Skin care (especially for dry and sensitive skin and skin care for babies)
- Allergy prevention and nutrition
- Neurodermatitis, basic care and therapy
- Reduce allergens in the living area
- Hair and nails
Publications
Members ' magazine Haut & Allergie aktuell A quarterly members' magazine that provides detailed information on current skin and allergy topics.
The German Skin and Allergy Aid e. V. publishes free information brochures on the subject of allergies and skin diseases.
Scientific Board of Trustees
The scientific board of trustees of the German Skin and Allergy Aid e. V. ensures the quality of the association's work. The members of the board of trustees provide advice and support to the board. The experts from different disciplines give suggestions and recommendations on initiatives and projects that the German Skin and Allergy Aid carries out in the interests of those affected and their families in Germany.
