German Music Publishers Association

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The German Music Publishers Association e. V. (DMV) is a professional association and interest organization for German music publishers .

With around 400 music publishers, the merger reaches an organization level of around 90% of all publishers operating in Germany. The association, founded in 1829 , is based in Berlin . In contrast to GEMA , for example , whose members include the composers and lyricists as well as the music publishers, it is not a collecting society .

Every year the DMV awards the German Music Edition Prize "Best Edition" . as well as the award for the "best concert program" of the season.
