The German Road Museum is a museum in the Palatinate city ​​of Germersheim .

It is the only museum in Germany that deals extensively with the subject of the street . It was founded in 1989 through the private initiative of some road builders and shows exhibits from the early days to the present of road and especially bridge construction on an exhibition area of ​​approx. 5,000 square meters.

The museum is financed by the state of Rhineland-Palatinate , through donations and contributions from its members.

The museum is housed in the former armory of the Germersheim Fortress .
