The youth theater magazine Junge bühne , which appeared for the first time in 2007, is an offshoot of Deutsche Bühne . The free magazine is aimed at viewers and active people aged 14 and over and appears every September.

Once a year after the end of the theater season, Die Deutsche Bühne publishes its survey of critics, in which all branches of German-speaking contemporary theater are covered: drama, opera, dance and "experimental forms". 59 authors from the trade journal took part in 2020. They chose the Münchner Kammerspiele under the outgoing artistic director Matthias Lilienthal as the "most convincing overall performance" . In 2020, the State Theater Schwaben Memmingen under Kathrin Mädler was considered to be the "most convincing" theater work "away from the big centers" . According to the critics, Johan Simons and Hamlet at the Schauspielhaus Bochum delivered the "outstanding directorial contribution to the current development of the theater" . In the new "Format in Shutdown" section, the Berlin Schaubühne's streaming program was seen as excellent.
