The little crypt bitch
The little crypt bitch is a comic drawn by Mathias "Tikwa" Neumann . The series was originally created in 1998 as a private comic for the illustrator and his friends. The first album was released in 2001 by roller coaster . Before that, the comic strips were published in game magazines such as PC Games (with more than 2 million issues per year) and in music magazines such as “Graeffnis” or Zillo .
The comic originated from the Gothic scene in the Rhein-Main area, hence the clothing style of the main character Vampiri and a crypt as the setting. Their name is derived from the former Gothic meeting place "The Little Crypt" in Kelkheim .
The strips usually consist of short sequences of three or four pictures, some also fill an entire page of an album. The action often takes a comic or bizarre twist in the last picture due to the spoken text or expansion of the drawn scene. Venues are the underworld of the small crypt or the nocturnal world of people.
Due to its origins, the strip found many followers, especially in the wider Gothic scene. So there are always events with the same title as the comic. But the characters are also repeatedly used for cosplay roles at larger meetings.
characters
The main characters in the comic are the two female characters Vampiri and Engeli . Vampiri is a horned devil vampire , clad in black lacquer, leather and high-heeled boots; she embodies evil . Engeli, clad in a semi-transparent white shirt, is an angel opponent and friend against her will, but not a real embodiment of the good . She was supposedly banished from heaven for indecency and wears pig ears as punishment. A fallen angel cannot go back.
Other characters are the unlucky vampire Ludwig and his three vampire rats; the simple-minded demon Teufli and his girlfriend, the cow Annabelle and the unsuccessful vampire hunter Professor Abronsius with his assistant. There are also three little black angels in the second volume who play a role in Vampiri's earlier fate in the human world.
The first anthologies of the comic became increasingly rare and rose sharply in price. At the end of 2013, all four volumes were reissued in a slightly smaller format under the title "Vampiri Mörderherz". A novel was also published under this name. TIKWA is currently working on a fifth volume in which new characters will appear. Here he also involves the community on Facebook, for example when choosing a name for people.
