Diego Morais Pacheco (born February 11, 1983 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian soccer player . He plays as a central defender and is considered safe on the ball as well as a strong header .

Career

Morais played in his native Brazil until December 2006 with various clubs in Rio de Janeiro, most recently with Club Villa Rio Esporte in the Brazilian second division. In December 2006, he completed a trial training at Hansa Rostock and was then loaned out until the end of the season. In addition, a purchase option was agreed, which FC Hansa drew at the end of the season and thus obliged Morais until 2010. After he had in the second half of the 2006/07 season , in the Morais with three second division appearances, part of Hansa's promotion to the Bundesliga when Diego Morais was accrued, it became the 2007/08 season Diego . With Rostock, however, he immediately relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga. During a training match for the second team, Morais tore a cruciate ligament in March 2009 and is out for at least 6 months. After Rostock had barely been able to avoid relegation to the third division in the second division season 2008/09 , Morais was suggested to change clubs despite the ongoing contract.
