Dieter Wellershoff grant

The Dieter Wellershoff Scholarship is an 8-month working scholarship for writers, awarded annually by the City of Cologne and the Literaturhaus Köln, to two scholarship holders, each endowed with 12,000 euros . The award commemorates the work of the Cologne writer Dieter Wellershoff, who died in 2018, and is intended to support authors with their main residence in Cologne in completing a literary work that has already started.

The scholarships were awarded for the first time in 2018. The jury consisted of Sonja Herrmann, Martin Mittelmeier and Martin Oehlen. Previous scholarship holders were:
