Dillon Cooper (born October 20, 1992 in Brooklyn , New York City ; real name Dillon Jermaine Cooper ) is an American rapper .

Life

Cooper grew up in Brooklyn 's Crown Heights neighborhood of New York and went to school there. According to his own statement, he started learning to play the guitar by himself at the age of 8. At the age of 17 he attended Berklee College of Music in Boston . There he was trained as a guitarist, rapper, freestyler and actor.

Career

At the end of 2012, the talent was spotted by the Boston -based independent label Amalgam Digital . A contract was planned, but it never came about. The label also wanted to secure the rights to Cooper's first mixtape Cozmik . Cooper declined and released the mixtape himself on June 27, 2013 as a download.

In early 2014, Cooper signed with the New York label 1009 Records . This was followed by the publication of his second mixtape X: XX on October 20, 2014 .

On May 29, 2015, the German rapper Sido released his pre-single Ackan from album VI , in which Cooper appears as a guest musician. The single made it to number 40 in the German single charts, number 38 in Austria and number 44 in the Swiss.

The song Come Correct was released on December 7, 2016 . It was produced by Noise System. In the music video, Cooper appears in New York City .

At the end of 2017, Cooper released his second EP Supernova .
