The Dohren Wild Farmers are a German baseball and softball club . The club is a division of SV Dohren eV and is located in Dohren in Lower Saxony . The baseball division was founded in 1990.

history

For the 2010 season, the Wild Farmers were promoted to the baseball league for the first time , in which they are represented in the Northern Division. In the 2012 season, the men's team of the Wild Farmers would actually have been relegated, but was allowed to stay in the 1st Bundesliga, as no team from the 2nd Bundesliga wanted to be promoted. In 2014 the Wild Farmer finished the regular season 5th in the north, but were relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga as the last of the playdowns. Since 2017 they have been playing in the 1st Bundesliga North again, in which they reached the PlayOffs three times in a row.

The Wild Farmers school team was German runner-up in 2009 and the junior team was German champion in 2010.

In 2012 the softball division became Lower Saxony champions and only had to admit defeat to the Hamburg Knights in their league.

Trivia

The Wildfarmers are the only club in the first and second baseball league that produces the baseball bats required during a season itself.
