Dolores Delgado
Dolores Damián Delgado García (born November 9, 1962 in Madrid ) is a Spanish politician and former prosecutor . She has been Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Spain since June 2018 .
Life
Delgado was born in Madrid. She first studied law at the Autonomous University of Madrid , before completing a master's degree in European law at the Complutense University of Madrid . After being appointed public prosecutor, she first worked at the Supreme Court of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia . This was followed by an appointment to the special department of the public prosecutor's office, which was dedicated to the fight against drugs . Since 1993 she has been a public prosecutor at the State Court of Spain.
After the train attacks in Madrid in 2004, she specialized in combating Islamist terrorism . She was also spokeswoman for the Attorney General's office for a short time before starting work at the International Criminal Court in The Hague in 2011 .
In June 2018 after the no-confidence vote against Mariano Rajoy , they called Pedro Sánchez as justice minister in his Cabinet .
