Don Gauf
Donald Valentine "Don" Gauf (born January 1, 1927 in Edmonton , Alberta ; † October 11, 2014 ibid) was a Canadian ice hockey player . At the 1952 Winter Olympics , he won the gold medal as a member of the Canadian national team.
Career
Don Gauf spent his career as a hockey player with the Edmonton Mercurys , with whom he represented Canada at the 1950 World Cup and in 1952 at the Oslo Winter Olympics.
International
For Canada , Gauf took part in the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo , where he and his team won the gold medal. In seven games he scored three goals. He had previously won the gold medal with his team at the 1950 World Cup .
