Userin village church
The Userin village church is a church building consecrated in 1778 in Userin in the Mecklenburg Lake District . It is a simple, towerless half-timbered building with a crooked hip roof . A cross with a weather vane is attached to the roof ridge .
The wooden belfry to the west of the church was rebuilt in 1987 and repaired in 1997. The bronze bell bears the inscription " Soli Deo gloria , anno 1774" ("God alone, honor, in 1774") and also shows the Mecklenburg coat of arms.
Inside there is an organ that comes from a West Prussian church. The instrument came to Userin in 1901.
Extensive reconstruction work took place from 1991 to 1997. Among other things, the roof was covered with beaver tails , and the church got lead-glazed windows again .
The Useriner Church has two previous buildings: The first church in the village from 1637 was destroyed in the Thirty Years War , the second stood from 1703 to 1774.
It belongs to the Strelitzer Land parish in the Neustrelitz Propstei, Mecklenburg parish of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany .
