The Dubawntsee (English Dubawnt Lake ) is a 3,629 km² (3,833 km² including islands) large lake located in northern Canada .

It is located in the southwest of the Nunavut Territory , on the border with the Northwest Territories, and is 236 m above sea level. The lake is traversed by the Dubawnt River, which flows into the Thelon River . Its entire north shore is taken up by the Thelon Game Sanctuary . The lake is north of the tree line in a barely populated region and carries ice long into summer. Although the lake is one of the largest in North America, there are no permanent settlements on its shores. During the arctic summer, the Dubawntsee is used by some sport fishermen who fly in and live in camps there.
