Dubravko Detoni

Dubravko Detoni (born February 22, 1937 in Križevci , Kingdom of Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian composer , pianist and writer .

Detoni studied in Zagreb , in Siena with Guido Agosti , in Warsaw with Witold Lutosławski , in Darmstadt with Karlheinz Stockhausen and György Ligeti and in Paris with John Cage . He is the founder and director of the Zagreb-based ensemble ACEZANTEZ , with whom he has toured Europe, Asia and America. He worked for many years as a music editor and producer for television and radio in Croatia.

Detoni composed more than 100 musical works, multimedia and performance pieces and published books of poetry and collections of essays. In 2007 he was awarded the Croatian Porin Music Prize for his life's work .
