Eberhard Forcher (born August 16, 1954 in Lienz ) is an Austrian musician , teacher , presenter and DJ .

Life

Forcher grew up both a musical and a sporty child near his birthplace in Lienz. In 1972 he graduated from high school in Lienz, whereupon he attended a pedagogical academy in Innsbruck. From 1974 he was a teacher at a special school.

Career

In 1980 he turned to music, especially punk rock and new wave , and founded the band Tom Pettings Hertzattacken , with whom he toured all over Austria and Bavaria. A record deal followed the sensation of the tour. Publications such as Finally on the radio achieved initial success. When the second long player, Parties nach 12 , with the single Bis zum Himalaya was on the market in 1983 , these continued. In addition, he was active as an Ö3 DJ at numerous events. He was honored with an Amadeus Austrian Music Award for the creation of the Youtube channel Austrozone in early 2014, where Austrian musicians and bands are presented every week .
