Coat of arms of the von Fürfeld

The noblemen of Fürfeld were the medieval local nobility of Fürfeld , a current district of Bad Rappenau in the district of Heilbronn in northern Baden-Württemberg . They were probably related to the Lords of Neipperg and appear in a document from 1302 to 1471. Their ancestral seat Fürfeld came to the Lords of Helmstatt as early as 1427 .

history

The noble servants of Fürfeld have the same coat of arms as the lords of Neipperg, so that they are believed to be related. A Conrat von Furhenvelt is mentioned for the first time as a witness of Warmund von Neipperg in a document from 1302. A Gerhart von Furenfelt appears as a witness in two documents from 1353, in one of the documents together with a Chunrat von Furhenvelt.

In 1355 Raven vonführungfeld is named as the owner of a farm in Obergimpern , in the following year he and his son of the same name certified the sale of their quarter of the village of Seldingen . In 1359 Engelhard von Hirschhorn acquired a sixth of the upper and lower gimpers from the Fürfeld farmhands . In 1363 a Cunrat von Fürnvelt is mentioned as a feudal man of the Württemberg Count Eberhard in the beard in the possession of the village of Böllingen . Raban vonführungfeld sold a third of the Böllinger Hof together with two sons in 1365. In 1381 Raban vonführungfeld was named among the sellers of the Böllinger Hof to the Heilbronn patrician family Erer .

In 1389 Raban von Furnfelt raised claims to the inheritance of Agnes von Lindenfels, known as "the Böckingerin". The lords of Böckingen were probably also tribe related due to their coats of arms, the deceased could have been a relative of the Fürfelder because of the addition of her name. Raban received the disputed fiefdom of the Counts of Oettingen , left by the "Böckingerin" , consisting of a farm with vineyards in Sulzfeld , the Vogtei of Ravensburg and Sulzfeld and a wooded area near Ravensburg.

The Fürfeld servants appear in several other documents on the occasion of sales, as witnesses or servants .

Weiprecht von Fürfeld acquired goods in Bönnigheim in 1408 . He also sealed two documents in 1411 and 1413 as Wiprecht de Fürnfeld, while his seal was inscribed with Wiprecht de Nipperg.

The lords of Helmstatt had owned the Fürfelder headquarters in Fürfeld since the early 14th century. In 1427 Peter von Helmstatt was enfeoffed by the Bishop of Worms with the castles in Fürfeld, Bonfeld and Treschklingen as well as the villages Ehrstädt and Steinsfurt . It is not known whether the Fürfeld servants in Fürfeld still owned property at that time.

A Wendel von Fürfeld still sealed documents in 1436, 1458 and 1461. The last of documented members of the family of Kilian Furenfelt, in Brackenheim sat in württembergischer imprisonment and 1471 in a document of 28 September Urfehde vowed.
