Eduard Hanauer

Johann Josef Eduard Hanauer (born March 18, 1829 in Zweibrücken , † April 30, 1893 in Berlin ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

The son of an appellate judge worked as a public prosecutor in Munich from 1873 . Two years later he was raised to the rank of a secret senior government councilor, later appointed lecturer in the Reich Chancellery and director of the Reich Justice Office. He took over the management of the latter as State Secretary on April 2, 1892 , but died a year later.

Hanauer was also a member of the second commission that drafted the civil code .
