Eemeli Pirinen (born April 21, 1993 ) is a Finnish ski racer . His strengths lie in the technical disciplines of giant slalom and slalom .
biography
Pirinen played his first European Cup races in the 2011/12 season . After a few races without a top result, he was able to place in the top 10 for the first time in the giant slalom in Levi . On January 29, 2016, he celebrated his first victory in the European Cup in the giant slalom in Zuoz .
He participated in three Junior World Championships. With 15th place in the giant slalom in Québec in 2013 , he celebrated his best result.
In the Ski World Cup Pirinien debuted on November 11, 2012. However, in the slalom in Levi, he was eliminated in the first round. At the beginning of the 2014/15 season he classified himself for the first time in the points with place 27 in the giant slalom in Åre . Pirinen achieved his best placement in the giant slalom in Kranjska Gora in 23rd place.
Pirinen took part in two Alpine World Ski Championships . In 2013 he finished 30th in the giant slalom in Schladming . At the 2015 Alpine World Ski Championships in Beaver Creek , he did not see the goal in the first round of the giant slalom.
