The Eisenbahntechnische Rundschau ( ETR for short ) is a German railway specialist magazine that has been published since 1952 for information on all aspects of technology, operations, science and research in track-guided traffic. The magazine appears today with an edition of 3294. Ten issues appear annually, with a joint issue each in January / February and July / August. Four times a year the magazine is accompanied by the edition ETR Austria and twice a year the "ETR Swiss". Furthermore, international editions of the ETR are published up to four times a year in the respective national language and in English.

The articles contain a summary in English . Earlier volumes also contained summaries in French and Spanish .

history

The magazine was originally founded in 1920 under the title Eisenbahntechnische Rundschau in Hanover and was published by Basse and Geissel. From issue 3/1934 it appeared as a railway technology and motor vehicle technical review up to issue 3/4/1937. From 1/1952 the Eisenbahntechnische Rundschau appeared again after a 15-year break, new in Cologne at Röhrig.
